Manuel Meri is a Finnish, Tampere-based musician and sound artist who seeks to express the wonders of everyday life and direct experience. Soundwise, he is interested in small sounds made large and the textures that emerge from them.

As tools, he uses different kinds of digital and analog sound manipulation techniques, as well as different instruments. When it comes to music technology, he rather leans back than pursue the newest, and rather makes more with less.

Manuel Meri’s painting-esque soundfields rise up from silence. They are sparse but dense, and thin but layered. His goal is to create immersive, mental spatial works that float beyond time.
